Thislibrary of "DemTools" consists of software, approaches, toolkits and guides that DemTech regards as trusted technology-related resources for the democracy community. It is not meant to be comprehensive, but rather a curated list of tools and resources known by DemTech experts to be valuable for enabling democratic actors to conduct their work in a safe, reliable, and cost effective way.
Build simple or highly complex surveys and webforms for data collection. More sophisticated and flexible than a simple Google Form, Alchemer allows you to build in branching logic, a wide range of question types, advanced survey logic, and advanced data analysis and exporting. With paid plans, Alchemer also enables strong encryption and security settings.
Allows for the use of polls with target groups in real time. The tool is intuitive and user friendly. Accessing it is not hard, just need to access the platform and enter a code. Offers different ways to ask the questions (word cloud, multiple choice, open question, etc).
Twine is a free and open-source platform for making interactive fiction games, much like a "Choose Your Own Adventure" story, or practice quizzes. Twine doesn't require you to write any code, and it publishes directly to HTML so you can post your game almost anywhere. NDI hosts Twine for partners through its DemCloud cloud-hosting service.
